L. M. “Pat” Jacobs IV was reelected to a third six-year term representing Pima County on the CAWCD Board on November 3, 2020. Mr. Jacobs graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Government and a Master of Arts in Public Administration.

Mr. Jacobs represents CAWCD on the Arizona Water Protection Fund Commission, and currently serves as Chair. He worked as a Court Administrator for 30 years in Michigan, California and Arizona. He developed and implemented the “One Day One Trial” Jury System. He served as a member of the Northwest (Pima County) Fire District Board for eight years and two years as the Chair. He presently breeds champion Miniature Schnauzers. He is a Past President of Tucson Kennel Club (TKC) and was TKC Show Chair and delegate to the American Kennel Club. He has represented TKC on the Pima County Animal Care Advisory Committee. Pat is a Member of Arizona Historical Society

Mr. Jacobs resides in Tucson with his wife, Kim, and has two grown children from a previous marriage, Phil and Mark, four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Mr. Jacobs is an Arizona native and member of a pioneer family residing in Arizona since 1867; a family which includes “a father of the University of Arizona,” Selim Franklin. In his spare time Mr. Jacobs enjoys reading history, going to dog shows and playing tennis.
