Pamela Pickard was elected to her second six-year term on November 6, 2012, representing Maricopa County on the CAWCD Board of Directors. She will serve from January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2018.
Ms. Pickard attended Arizona State University earning a Bachelor of Arts in Education and earned a Master of Arts in Human Relations/Counseling from Northern Arizona University.
While on the board Ms. Pickard has held several leadership positions. Pamela served as Board President, Vice President and chaired the Finance, Audit and Power and the Captive Insurance Committees. In addition, she was the first chair of the board's Public Policy Committee.
Recently Ms. Pickard was named by the Arizona Capitol Times as one of the 2014 Leaders of The Year in Public Policy for the area of Water and Natural Resources. Among Ms. Pickard’s other accomplishments: she served four terms as an Arizona Medical Foundation Reimbursement Board Member; was selected for the first class of the Dodie Londen Women in Leadership Program; and has been appointed by the state legislature to serve on the state's English Language Learner Task Force.
Ms. Pickard, a 50-year resident of Arizona, resides in Peoria with her husband, Larry. She has two adult children, Heather and Jake, and five grandchildren.
