Ben Graff was elected within Maricopa County to a six-year term on the CAWCD Board of Directors on November 8, 2016.  Mr. Graff is a Land Use & Zoning Attorney with Aday Graff PC in Phoenix.  Ben has worked extensively on obtaining the necessary municipal and county approvals for projects ranging from the development of a utility-scale solar plant in Arizona to affordable housing, senior living, luxury multi-family developments, resorts, industrial plants, and downtown infill developments.

Between 2004 and 2006, Ben was appointed by Governor Janet Napolitano to serve a two-year term on the Arizona Board of Regents. Today, he serves as a Regent Emeritus, providing guidance and feedback regarding our state universities’ initiatives and strategic planning.

Ben is currently a member of Arizona Forward and serves on the Board of Directors for Kids at Hope, a non-profit organization.  He is a member of Valley Leadership Class 31 and the Flinn-Brown Leadership Academy Class 1. He also served as Legislative Chair for Valley Partnership from 2012-2016.

Ben earned a BA from the University of Arizona and a J.D. from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law.  Ben is the namesake for the Benjamin Graff Award for Excellence in Public Service, University of Arizona, which was established in 2005.
Ben is a native Arizonan. He is an avid hiker/backpacker and enjoys playing the guitar. He and his wife, Lin, have two girls and live in Phoenix, Arizona.
