Central Arizona Project is welcoming 2018 by celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Colorado River Basin Project Act, which was signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson on Sept. 30, 1968.
The significance of this act is underscored not only by the fact that it authorized CAP construction, the legislation also paved the way for growth and economic development in the West as we know it today.
