Jennifer Brown was elected to a six-year term on the CAWCD Board of Directors, representing Maricopa County, on November 3, 2016. She is a self-employed property manager. Jennifer graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University in 2005. She was the managing editor for View Magazine, author of two editorial blogs and a copy editor for novelists.
Jennifer is very active in the community. She serves as a board member for the John Volken Academy (a long-term addiction recovery center), a volunteer for the Cowgirls Historical Foundation, and an ambassador for Lift the Children. She volunteers for Dignity Health Foundation East Valley and in various leadership capacities at her church, including youth counselor. For over a decade she has served in the Boy Scouts of America in such roles as Pack Committee Chair, Eagle Scout Specialist and Cub Scout den leader. She was trained at the Phoenix Art Museum and continues as a volunteer art teacher for local elementary schools.
Jennifer is a native Arizonan. She enjoys reading, organizing and travel. She and her husband, Carson, have three boys and twin girls. They live in Gilbert, Arizona.
