Richard Weissinger
Director, Field Maintenance
Rich Weissinger is the Director of Field Maintenance for Central Arizona Project (CAP). He oversees the maintenance and field operations of CAP’s infrastructure, including pumping/generating plants, open channel aqueduct, pipelines, siphons, dams, and recharge projects.
In 1998 Rich joined CAP as a Relay Electrician and prior to his selection as Field Maintenance Director he served in diverse roles throughout his career. Those roles included Plant Electrician, Maintenance Engineer, IT Project Manager, Supervisor Maintenance Information, Operational Technology Manager, and Information Technology Manager.
Prior to CAP, Rich served as an Infantry NCO in the US Army’s First Infantry Division and completed an Electrical Apprenticeship with the Phoenix Electrical Joint Apprenticeship.
Rich earned a B.S. in Business Administration from DeVry University and is a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), Certified Reliability Leader (CRL), Project Management Professional (PMP) and serves on the board of the Arizona Cyber Threat Response Alliance (ACTRA).
