Richard Weissinger is the Director of Field Maintenance at the Central Arizona Project (CAP), overseeing the maintenance of critical infrastructure, including pumping plants, aqueducts, pipelines, siphons, dams, and recharge facilities.

Since joining CAP in 1998 as a Relay Electrician, he has held a range of roles including Maintenance Engineer, IT Project Manager, and Information Technology Manager, bringing a unique blend of technical and strategic experience to his leadership.

Richard sponsors CAP’s Apprenticeship Program and Diversity and Inclusion Committee, reflecting his commitment to workforce development and inclusive leadership. He is a U.S. Army veteran and completed his electrical apprenticeship through the Phoenix Electrical JATC.

He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from DeVry University and certifications as a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), and Certified Reliability Leader (CRL).
