Dan Thiessen serves as the Director of Technology and Governance for Central Arizona Project. Since joining CAP in 2018 as IT Infrastructure Supervisor, Dan has advanced through a series of leadership roles, including Information Technology Manager, before being appointed to his current position in July 2023.

As Director of Technology and Governance, Dan is responsible for overseeing CAP’s technology strategy and operations, physical and cybersecurity programs, and information management functions. He provides leadership in ensuring the reliability, security, and governance of the systems and information that support CAP’s mission-critical operations.

Prior to and throughout his career, Dan has led technology teams and initiatives across diverse environments, including managing global software development operations in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) and North America (NORAM) regions. His experience spans infrastructure, enterprise technology, cybersecurity, software development, and organizational governance, with a focus on aligning technology investments and security programs with business objectives.
